How do you become an American Dance Legend? 
Well, if you're Mary Murphy, You answer a newspaper ad for a dance instructor trainee. Well wouldn't you know it only one week she became a fully credentialed dance instructor.  

Legend has it the studio owner invited her to attend the U.S. Ballroom Championships in New York, and that my friends is how Mary Murphy got bit by the ballroom bug!

She acted as a dance double for Julia Roberts in the movie Something to Talk About and appeared in Dance With Me, starring Vanessa L. Williams.
